Q: What is QuickTime?
A: The short answer is that QuickTime is the most popular way to put sound and video on a website or CD. Of course, it's much more than that-it's a technology that lets you combine motion video, MP3 and other digital audio, MIDI, still images, text, special effects, virtual reality, sprites, interactive Web tours, and, well, the complete answer would fill a book. QuickTime is a powerful and easy-to-use technology for creating and viewing multimedia.
Q: Is QuickTime for Apple computers only?
A: No. You can create and view QuickTime movies on Windows (95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP) or Macintosh computers. You can serve QuickTime movies from any Web server (Sun, Linux, NT, Mac, you-name-it).

Do I have QuickTime version 6.0 or later on my system? If not, go to Apple Computer's web site and download the latest version of the free QuickTime player to your PC or Macintosh computer. MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION WHEN PROMPTED.
I have the QuickTime Player installed on my system. Now I need to make sure I have the QuickTime Plug-in installed in my browser's plug-in folder. This is located on my hard drive usually in the Programs Folder or in your Applications Folder.
I have the QuickTime Player installed on my system. Now I need to make sure I have all the needed QuickTime components. Launch your QuickTime Player application and go to the "Help" Menu. From there, choose "Update Existing Software". The QuickTime application will now check and make sure you have all the components it needs.
I still cannot see the panorama. Reinstall the QuickTime Player application by going to the QuickTime Download page. Click here for dowload >>>
Panorama playback is slow:
I have at least 64 MB of Ram on my computer If using the Windows platform, skip the following: I have dedicated more than 12 MB of memory to the QuickTime Player (Mac OS 9 only).
To check, go to the QuickTime folder inside the applications folder on your Macintosh's hard drive. Open the folder and choose the QuickTime Player icon. Once selected, go up to the "File Menu" and choose "Get Info". Look for a drop down menu, next to the word "show, and click on it. Scroll down to "Memory". From there change your Preferred Size setting to 12,000 K.
It takes a while for the panorama to load:
On a broadband connection the panorama may take up to two minutes to load.
On a modem connection, the panorama may take up to 20 minutes to load.
For both modem and broadband users, your connection speed may vary due to net congestion, noise in your phone lines, etc. Please be patient, the content is worth the wait!
Are you using a 56K modem? If so, is your QuickTime Connection Speed preference set to 56K?
